Back then, there were no freeze-dried foods made in South Korea. Most of them were made in America, so most people tried to purchase American products. That is, freeze-dried foods were not readily available even though there was a high domestic demand for it because cats loved to eat it.
That’s why we started Ukiuki. We contacted the American company, and they told me that the import to South Korea was banned, and if you wanted to do, you needed to receive the products via China. So I didn’t try to import it.
In the meanwhile, other company tried to import it and became an authorized distributor.
